Accessibility and Fonts

What do fonts have to do with accessibility?

Fonts play a big role in the readability of your content. Decorative fonts, script fonts, and fonts with unconventional styling make it difficult for some readers to perceive and understand your content. A lot of the information we present at Extension is text-based, so making sure that the font you choose for your content is accessible will ensure that you reach the widest possible audience.

What are some accessible fonts that I should be using?

  • Times New Roman
  • Tahoma
  • Arial
  • Verdana
  • Helvetica
  • Calibri
