How do I make my documents accessible?

When a visually impaired person "reads" an online document, they often use a screen reader to speak the page out loud to them. Because of this, it is our responsibility to make sure that all of our documents are structured in a way that a screen reader can interpret and understand. It takes a few more steps in the creation process to make our Word documents, our PowerPoints, or our PDF's accessible, but doing so makes a world of difference for our visually impaired clients.
