Newsletters are a great way to get information out about the most recent happenings in your county - but they still have to be accessible!
What software should I use to make my newsletter?

Microsoft Word
Using Word to build your newsletters is an excellent choice, both for the accessibility of your document and your pocketbook!

- Free!

Microsoft Publisher
Publisher, though it is both free and easy to use, does not have the accessibility functions that Word does.
- Used for printed newsletters
- Must be manually remediated to meet accessibility requirements
- Free!

Canva
Canva is an excellent choice for designing professional looking products quickly - but it doesn't score well in the accessibility ring. Like Publisher, you must manually remediate your Canva-made newsletters in order to make them accessible.
- Used for print newsletters
- Must be manually remediated to meet accessibility requirements

InDesign
InDesign is both pricey and hard to make accessible - but it can produce stunning documents with the right know-how.
- Used for both print and digital newsletters
- Can be made accessible, but is a cumbersome process
- $177 Annually
Constant Contact
Constant contact is a really quick, easy, and intuitive way to get out digital newsletters. However, though it has lots of great features, it has limited tools for accessibility.
- Used for digital newsletters
- Can be made accessible, but only if you use the right templates
- Free for CES entities and $10 per month for AES and grant funded programs
