Here's a look at some of what the Division's Communications Department has been doing in November and December.
Dedication video for the Don Tyson Center for Agricultural Sciences
For the dedication of the Don Tyson Center for Agricultural Sciences, Communications worked with administration and Tyson Foods to tell the story of the building's genesis and the people who made it happen. The video was created by Ricky Blair, Little Rock, and Nick Kordsmeier, Fayetteville.
Tyson Foods executives and the building's architectural firm were so pleased, they asked to have the video for their own public relations efforts.
On the 'Fore!' front
Communications also worked with the Horticulture Department. With support from Mike Richardson and USGA, produced the first in a series of videos featuring the research of the department's hort students. Created by Ricky Blair, Little Rock, and Nick Kordsmeier, Fayetteville.

Between Jan. 1 and Oct. 31, 2017, Communications Department-generated news stories resulted in 1,856 media placements in national/international, trade and local publications, as well as television and radio. These were reported and written by Ryan McGeeney, Little Rock; Fred Miller, Fayetteville; Emily Thompson, Fayetteville; Mary Hightower, Little Rock; and summer intern Meleah Perez, Fayetteville.
Arkansas Agriculture Profile
The Communications Department worked with Jennie Popp and Leah English to create the long-awaited successor to the Economic Contributions booklet now known as the Arkansas Agriculture Profile. The new infographic styling, executed by graphic designer Julie Thompson, Little Rock, is meant to make the information easier-than-ever to understand. This is a great tool for anyone who talks about the significance of agriculture in Arkansas.
