About UADA

The University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture is a statewide institution that conducts research through the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station and outreach through the Cooperative Extension Service.

OUR MISSION

The University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture’s mission is to strengthen agriculture, communities, and families by connecting trusted research to the adoption of best practices. Through the Agricultural Experiment Station and the Cooperative Extension Service, the Division of Agriculture conducts research and extension work within the nation’s historic land-grant education system.

Division Leadership

The organizational chart below shows the connections between UADA and other members of the University of Arkansas System, including the University of Arkansas Fayetteville campus and the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

The University of Arkansas System, led by President Jay B. Silveria, sits at the top of our structure. Dr. Deacue Fields, head of UADA, is a vice president within the University of Arkansas System, on par with the chancellors at UAF and UAM.

Reporting to Fields are John Anderson, head of the Cooperative Extension Service, and Jean-François Meullenet, who heads the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station.

We are pleased to have faculty with joint appointments within the UAF and UAM campuses which enhance all of our outreach, research and teaching efforts.
